While Nanna (my wonderful girlfriend) was in Japan for three weeks, I made her another song.
The music and lyrics are made and written by George DesRoches (TarbyRocks). I only recorded the vocals, made the intro and mixed & mastered it.

I've liked this song by Tarby for a long time now, but I've only heard the instrumental demo and the version from the 'Uncooked' album. So I've had the idea to take the instrumental demo and add my own vocals for quite some time now. I think it turned out alright! The harmony on the chorus was my own doing.

If you listen to the original (soundcloud.com/tarbyrocks/the-closer-you-are) then you can hear that is in a lower key and tempo. For this cover, I changed the song from 44.1 KHz to 48 KHz because it gave it a more up-beat feeling and it fitted my vocal capabilities better :)
